there?
You can search by name (on all worlds or one world), by world, or by all of
the profile fields.

My search is being
truncated. What do I do?
Limit your search query. Remember that you can use a percent sign "%" in
text fields as a wildcard (will find any text). We cut off character lists at
fifty people on the name and advanced search fields to prevent our servers from
crashing like Final Fantasy XI under a DDoS attack >.< . If you wish to view
everyone on a world, you can do so by running a world search, but all other
searches are capped at fifty characters.

I'm not sure how to
use the advanced search.
Simple question, but it takes a bit of explaining.
When you first see the page, all of the defaults are set. If you were to click
"Search, kupo!" you'd get the first fifty characters in our database (truncates
at 50). You can change any of the fields to find characters matching certain
characteristics. For instance, to find all Windurstians Rank 6 and up, select "Windurst"
under nationality and make sure country rank is set to "From Rank 6 to Rank 10".
You can select multiple jobs (same level ranges) by holding down the Control key
while selecting jobs. If "All Jobs" is selected with any other job, your search
will include all jobs.
Zilart and Promathia have a "N/A" option. This is for characters which have not
started the Zilart and/or Promathia missions or do not own the Zilart and/or
Promathia expansion packs. If the lower rank is "N/A" your search will not
include that rank.

I'm getting an error
message. What do I do?
If you're consistently getting it, please e-mail
admin@vanadiellobby.com with the
error message, any applicable codes, the address (URL), and what you were trying
to do. We will address the issue as soon as possible.

How do I register?
Simply click Register at the bottom of [nearly] all of our pages. To
register, you only need to give us a username, a password, and your e-mail
address (which will only be used to send a confirmation that you registered.

What do I get when I register?
The ability to add characters to the Lobby White Pages. As a normal user you
can have up to two characters -- more than enough based on Square Enix's
analysis of North American players, who have 1-2 characters per account. We
politely ask that you do not create multiple accounts for more
characters.

I see
some people are LWP Supporters. What does this mean?
LWP Supporters have donated $6.00 or more to the Lobby White Pages. They
receive a few small benefits, but it's mostly a thank-you to the Lobby and it's
lead (and therefore only) programmer for their hard work.

How do I add characters?
Log in to your account by clicking "Login" on most pages; depending on where
you are in the site, this link may change to "My Characters." Either will take
you to the same place, your account, which will tell you your username, whether
you are a LWP supporter/premium member, and display your characters (if you have
any). From here, you can add characters, unless you have reached your limit (2
for normal accounts, 5 for LWP supporters).

How do I edit characters?
Log in to your account by clicking "Login" on most pages; depending on where
you are in the site, this link may change to "My Characters." Either will take
you to the same place, your account, which will tell you your username, whether
you are a LWP supporter/premium member, and display your characters (if you have
any). Simply click "Edit" next to the character you wish to edit.

How do I delete characters?
Log in to your account by clicking "Login" on most pages; depending on where
you are in the site, this link may change to "My Characters." Either will take
you to the same place, your account, which will tell you your username, whether
you are a LWP supporter/premium member, and display your characters (if you have
any). Simply click "Delete" next to the character you wish to delete. You will
be asked to confirm the deletion; once you delete a character, it is
unrecoverable.

Why am I limited to
x number of characters?
Normal accounts are limited to two characters. Based on Square Enix's
research of NA players, the average number of characters per account is two. If
you need more, we ask that you make a donation of $6.00 or more.

Some people have pictures in their profiles. How do I get one?
Become a LWP Supporter by donating $6.00 or more. We don't consider this a
necessary feature, so the money helps cover bandwidth and storage costs.

What do I have to do to become a LWP Supporter/premium member?
Donate $6.00 or more. We look at it like sending us fifty cents a month for
a year. It's not a huge amount of money, and it keeps the only completely free
searchable character database on the web running. The Lobby White Pages run
absolutely no ads and don't charge for advanced searches, something we're proud
to offer. If you like the Lobby White Pages, send us a token of appreciation to
keep the site running and cover our bandwidth and storage costs. The lone
programmer will enjoy it ^^

Why are you charging for this?
We're not charging, per se, only asking for a donation. You're not required
to pay a cent unless you want a picture, and it's not an integral part of this
site.

I'm registered, but when I log in I'm not being told that I'm a LWP
supporter/premium member.
Unless we get floods of donations, our system won't automatically switch you
over to a LWP supporter/premium member. Because this has to be done by hand, it
may take a day or so. We'll send you a personal e-mail letting you know when
your status has been activated.

How long do I keep the
LWP Supporter logo?
As long as you want it. Though we like multiple donations from members,
you're only required to donate once for the logo.
